Acupuncture involves fine needles being inserted into specific points along your energy paths (meridians), this helps to stimulate the system in question and relieve your pain.

The pain you feel is an indication that there is something wrong with one of your systems. Acupuncture has the ability to balance your chi (inner energy), and it encourages your body to work at an equilibrium.

After a pre-acupuncture consultation with your physiotherapist, where we will ensure tht you are a suitable candidate for acupuncture, needles will be inserted at in the affected area site or along the related meridians. This will help to stimulate your chi and remove any blockages in your internal energy system.

At Hull Physio we commonly use acupuncture to treat:

  • Back pain
  • Neck pain
  • Migraines and tinnitus
  • Jaw pain
  • Headaches
  • Sports Injuries
